My name is Lynn, and I created this blog to help and inform new drivers in case they ever get stuck or stranded. A couple of years ago, my teenage son was stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire and a dead cell phone. Luckily, he was just a few miles away and managed to walk home, but I regretted that I hadn't prepared him for the situation better. After that, I taught him everything he needed to know about changing flat tires, signalling for help, packing an emergency bag and calling a tow truck. We also dealt with issues like getting cars out of deep snow or mud and recognizing when to call for a professional tow.
